How to remove system.exe virus [Trojan Horse] from my computer. It is sitting in C:\?

When i was downloading some files from the internet, this system.exe virus [Trojan Horse] entered in C:\ and is difficult to erase it. Kindly help me to delete this trojan horse virus.

Reply:you aint stated what OS u are using... okay.,if u are using Win2k , XP and above, try to turn off system restore which is available in system properties and find the file in command prompt and delete it.. b4 that , check in task manager for the activity of that file, the process will be shows as your(system administrators) name or as system process. try to terminate and then find the file system.exe from c:\ and delete it, also try to scan your registry for the entry contains "system.exe" using regedit command. i hope this would help you.

Restart your computer in Safe mode (recommended) start work on the infected computer. go to safemode on ur pc. restart pc. as pc is starting up. keep hitting on (F8) key you come to menu a go to safemode . hit on enter then enter again. pc will go to login screen . go to ur *ADMIN) name hit on that


then run .da scan to find that spyware%26amp; malware.miveus.trojans


when found . delete da .. then restart pc
