Is there an easy way to check for leaks in my a/c system? It won't hold the freon.?

you will have to take it to the shop and they will put colored dye into the system so they can find the leak and fix it.

If it has a large leak, your eyes would be the best tool. Turn it on and look at all the hoses and connections. When you find the one that looks like steam is coming out, that would be the bad spot. If it's a smaller leak you would have to use the leak detector and the light and the goggles, not a do-it-yourself type thing, take it in.
Reply:there is a dye u can buy for like $10. u put it in your a/c like u would freon and wherever it leaks will show because the dye is usually a loud color like red or yellow. check your local parts store.hope this helps

--good luck
