I work in an OFFICE with a very NOISY A/C system...any suggestions?
Have the A/C system cleaned? Sometimes the fan(s) and the ducts get gunked up after years of use. Maybe you can get the building maintenance to clean the system (preferably over a weekend). You can claim an "environmental allergy" to "something in the A/C system" and discuss this (and the solution of cleaning the A/C system) with your workers comp./HR person at work, too and get them in on the program to clean the A/C system.

Reply:You might want to talk to you HR person. This problem could turn into a bigger one like low productivity and lack of concentration.
