How do i format (erase) C drive ,my system info capture more place in the drive i want to empty it.%26amp; instal Xp
you don't have to erase your harddrive to install xp...if you do, you will loose all information, programs, etc. on the computer. Just install the xp program. If you are looking to clean up your hard drive for more space, use defrag and other system tools.
Reply:just boot from your xp cd and choose install when it asks you. then choose format in NTFS, it will erase everything and you will just have the XP system on it. You will have to reinstall all programs and data
Reply:SIMPLY INSERT XP CD INTO CD DRIVE

- follow instructions on screen and do it !!!

- DONE !!!

congratulations on choosing XP

- BUT be prepared for loss of all data on hard disk ...
Reply:Re-install your OS . Simple!!!!!
Reply:when you install xp you will come to a screen where you can delete drives/partitions then when you select a drive to install windows on it will firstly format the drive.
Reply:goto "start" then select "run" and type in "cmd" there type in "format /?" and it will tell you how to do it and with what variances you want but basically its "format c:/"
Reply:PUT the xp cd rom into your cd drive ,and make sure the cdrom drive is the first bootable drive ,then follow the on screen instructions
Reply:easiest way is to put the xp disk in the drive and restart the computer, making sure your boot priority is changed to load the cd first. xp setup allows you to change partitions and format.
Reply:simply boot ur computer thru CD-ROM wid XP cd inside it will take u to da format option by itself..but make sure u back up ur data b4 dat..
Reply:contact a computer engineer.dont try it urself it can be dangerous
Reply:Put your XP disk in and follow on screen instructions.
Reply:what you need to do is go to add and remove select c drive and remove it its not that hard
