When i wrote to ICE and SEVIS they said i will recieve a certified mail indicating when i have to leave. But i havent recieved any and it has been over a month. Will i recieve it or not?I have a bit more training to complete. What should i do?No matter how many times i mail them they dont reply. Anybody facing same situation?
What is I797 C?My sevis system says my extension is denied. Need more clarification. please check the details?
I797C is Notice Of Action that issued by USCIS. it is a notification form of approval or denial of your application. you will have to follow up by calling the USCIS again if you still have not received it. good luck.
Reply:if you are a student, contact your international student office... however the grace period is short, so if you have not received your letter yet, CALL, don't email uscis... and ask them where is the letter etc
Reply:You should receive this notice in 4-6 weeks.
If you are on F-1, you have 60 days grace period to pack and leave.
If you're on J-1, you have 30 days grace period.
Do not overstay or you will be ban for 3 or 10 years depending on how long you overstay.
