How do you tell what earthing system (TT, TN-C, TN-S, TN-C-S) a domestic electricity supply has?

Usually by inspection of the service head.

sometimes there's even a label from the supplier.

You can also enquire of your supplier.

How do you tell what earthing system (TT, TN-C, TN-S, TN-C-S) a domestic electricity supply has?
you can contact your supplyer and ask, as if you dont know what your looking for its the easy way
Reply:As the others have said, there may be a lable on the incoming supply fuse box.

If there isn't a label then don't guess. It may even be different for your neighbour. You could be horribly wrong Call your electricity suppler.
Reply:The report you were given in the other question you asked says it TNCS if you doubt the inspectors competance then you should ask him to clarify, his name will be on the certificate and he will be happy to explain, I know I would be.
Reply:unless you live in the country its probably TNC-S.
